just a teeny little funny buffy moment.  i'm watching season 5 of 24, which i guess is called day 5 (silly show), and they used jane espenson as a fake name for a little subterfuge.  makes sense since david fury's an executive producer but it cracked my shit up! 

a few months ago, just after i'd discovered friday night lights, i was reading some recaps at twop when i discovered jacob clifton.  he'd written a description of the show that so captured everything that i love about the show that i had to track him down, and i sent him a fan letter.  since i've been an avid fic reader and know how much feedback means to people writing online, i sent something pretty gushy and sweet and completely true because he's a terrific writer.   and after a few days, he wrote me back!  well i had some fan squee and moved on. 

the next thing i knew, he'd friended me on facebook.  so ok, cool.  i was kind of really excited because, hey, he's sort of a bnf, you know?   and now today, out the blue, i got a connection request from linkedin, another social networking site i joined but don't use because, life is too precious, right?  and then he also friended me at myspace.  now granted, the profiles at linkedin are more comprehensive.  since it's designed to actually network business/professional people, i joined using my full name which you also do at facebook.  but my profile at myspace which, holy moly, do i not use, is basically blank.  i think i'm julia and that's it.  no other info as far as i recall.  so how did he find me there?   i'm sort of odded out.  but not in a bad way, just kind of bemused. 

in fannish news, i just finished watching "i will remember you" s01e08 angel.  and oh the angst!  smg brings it full force and though i've seen this ep several, many times, i still tear up.  that last minute? holy tearjerker, batman!  theirs was a forever love!  a forever love!  at least until spike showed back up....
