 this is another test post to see if i did.  

i just uploaded my brand spanking new mood theme thanks to worried_bubble  over at red_blotch .  she is made of serious supreme awesome!  i mean just look at the freakingly gorgeous animated mood theme i have now!!!  look, just look!!!  and then i learned about how to do the tech-y part via euterpeslullaby  at crackified .  man, the internets have not failed me today!  

and now i have more fun things to play with.  what was funny was that as i was intently studying the tutorial and trying this all out just now, i realized that it felt like i was doing something, really accomplishing something, and yet i was not.  ah, the irony is ironic, n'est-ce pas? 

my dvds arrived!!!! my dvds arrived!! so excited am i that i've already put season one disc one in and here are my observations thus far: rsl looks super skinny and young (omg young!) in the pilot. i want to know how long the ducklings have been with with house when we're brought into the scene. the light in house's office is crazy--everything is essentially black and white with only their faces lit up all golden and they're doing the ddx in house's space not the main room. also there's a horses v zebras reference by foreman which post-svu finale is oddly sweet.

speaking of which, my svu peeps: check out this kind of amazing portrait of meloni!  google alerts are good for something, right? 

and now off to bed....just trying to get back into some sort of day is day; night is night schedule while on vacation.

had to post with my new kickass (yup) house icon made by creamuts just because i LOVE IT SO!  also it sort of bookends my regular default la_tante  icon of the fabulous shoe from charles david a pair of which currently resides in my closet and which i only put on every once in a while to wander around my apartment wondering if i'll ever have a chance to actually wear them!  /run on

um, daily status update?  why thanks for asking....currently ensconced in bed sipping a very delicious but seedy smoothie (mixed berries from trader joe's have too many raspberries thus too many seeds).  i was up very early this morning to meet tattooed_lydia for breakfast at the tin shed.  and after a very nephew intense day yesterday, am feeling the need to do nothing much further for the day.  so i'm sort of watching fortysomething (which is sort of terrible but fuck it, it's hugh) and reading fanfic and flitting about all the house hugh comms and ljs all over the web.  if i've done a drive-by on your journal in the last few days, i hope i was coherent and haven't scared you away.  i've been in a fog.........and if you've come by to see who the hell was babbling in your journal, then hello!  i'm actually pretty harmless and welcome friends of all shapes and sizes and fandoms.

we've just had a torrential downpour in the last few minutes and i have to end by saying there is very little sweeter in the world than being cozied up in bed with the kitty curled up next me while rain lashes at the window and hugh laurie makes googly eyes at me.

and then there's the cuddling afterwards.......OMG you guys.  HOUSE.   like i needed another terse, taciturn, emotionally stunted, and deeply damaged guy to love.  come on.  but i have tumbled down yet another rabbit hole.  and landed in princeton plainsboro hospital.  and apparently what i have is fatal, terminal, and altogether painful.  also there is no cure.  someone get me greg house STAT!!!!!

sigh.  

oh well.  between meloni and laurie, i have blue eyes for days and plenty o' angst to feed the pain.  life is so good.

oh and ps: where's the good fic?  yes.  it's that time again.
