*hangs head*  ok maybe i take it back.   a little.

the big bang theory though just continues to be my go to lol show.  it is consistently hilariously funny and i'm totally in love with all the characters.

also re: supernatural (of which i've been a quiet fan for a couple of years now)?  so awesome.  so very awesome.  and i kind of can't stand that this may be the end of it.  ew said both ackles and padalecki are agitating to quit the show soon. ugh.  imho, jensen ackles may be one of the prettiest men to ever work the small screen.  ymmv.

also lost?  ooh delicious goodness!  i've been really enjoying this season but the last few eps have been stellar.  hurley was great in there's no place like hoth.  *eta: see how i made up my own name for the ep?  nice work, huh?  i know, i know, it's called some like it hoth.  but mine's not too shabby.

also southland is excellent.  i'm looking forward to seeing where it goes.  the same for parks and recreation.  i love amy poehler so much.  when she smiles that 1000 watt smile, you just know she'll win in the end.  or at least you hope.  and you know who i just adore from everwood?  chris pratt, so it's great to see him there.

also life finished up very well and if it's not renewed, it will be sad but i feel like i got a full meal deal with it.

and the same for terminator tssc, although i will be more in the realm of devastated if that one's not renewed.  because it is so interesting and good and, after 2 seasons, that kid who plays john connor can bring it.

i missed dollhouse this weekend.  it seems to be hitting its stride which is nice and kind of a relief.  it would be heartbreaking to have another joss show pulled.

chuck continues to slay me.  the story lines are preposterous, but it's so fun.  having scott bakula guest star was some of the most ingenious casting of any show ever.  and the supporting cast in general is comic gold.

i have 3 eps to catch up on bones.  and that's my job for the evening.  i know, it's a dirty job but someone's got to do it.  don't worry.  i'll wash my hands before i handle the business....

30 rock.  jackie jormp-jomp.  for all that's holy, tina fey has one of the most brilliant minds in the universe.  come on!

i want to be watching castle and kings and fringe and cupid not to mention continuing my melonilove with svu, but so far haven't gotten my act together to add them in.  crazy since i'm not really watching much, right?  *giggle*  wouldn't an extra couple of hours a day for just watching tv be a fun add?

i guess that's it for the tv update on my end.  what are you watching?

[Recreated under duress. LOL.]

I think this is the best season of Supernatural yet. I read/heard that Kripke envisioned a five-season story arc for the whole show - not sure how that meshed with the strike :| I didn't know that the boys were looking to leave... but the show certainly can't exist without them. I can't even think of a character who could maintain (sustain!) a spin-off. I mean I love Bobby and all, but. Mr Star & I watched entire series last fall so he'd be
caught up for S4 and not only is JA gorgeous but I'm totally impressed with his acting the past couple of seasons. He wasn't ever horrible to start with, but - I always remember the scene where he's telling Sam about Hell and he broke my heart, it was so good. The tears and the eyes and his face and voice! Wow. And I read something that showed how he did it in one take. They don't call him One Take Ackles for naught! Hah.

Dollhouse wasn't on last week so you didn't miss anything. I was afraid it had gotten yanked but I haven't heard anything to that end so hopefully not. I started watched it for the Faith (um, Eliza) and the Joss, but it wasn't anything special and it's taken me a while to get into it. I think they've done a great job fleshing out the secondary characters, and rarely, Topher gets a bit of dialogue that makes me laugh, but... it's no Buffy or even Angel, writing-wise. So that kind of sucks. But I am intrigued enough to keep watching.

I watched Cupid last week because Lee Tergesen guest-starred. I like Bobby Cannavale (Torquemada!) but not enough to watch the show without the Lee. Naturally, Lee was awesome, though the role was pretty rote.

Eventually my shelves will be full of TV shows on DVD that I didn't get into (because srsly new shows are such a crapshoot) and now want to be into... Terminator and Lost among them. I've heard good things about Southland and Kings but again with this crapshoot thing - I liked Life on Mars (US) and look how THAT ended. I watch 30 Rock and Castle, along with a couple of 'seasonal' reality shows - Top Chef and So You Think You Can Dance. Law & Order SVU of course, and Supernatural. Dollhouse, obviously.

Oh and I finally remembered to program the recording of Amy Poehler's new show, because, AWWW, Amy Poehler!! Also, WILL. Arnett. My best friend fangirls him, so I fangirl by association. ;)

ETA: Also, Dirty Jobs! Mmmmm, Mike Rowe. *slobber*

omg. you so deserve a response to this especially since you had to do it twice!!!

you are spot on re:spn. this season is like a culmination of everything they've been moving toward and it's so good. it is killing me that they're planning on ending next year. just when it's really hitting its stride. and you are so right about ackles. he blows me away. that scene you mentioned made me tear up. he was mesmerizing. sometimes padalecki bugs with all his "i'm angry and emotional" twitches but then i look at jensen and it all goes away. how is he so beautiful?

yes i'm with you on dollhouse. i've started watching it purely out of josslove and i do love eliza too, but it's only in the last 2 or 3 eps that i feel like it's starting to gel. which is a long time for something to build. and yeah i think the writing doesn't have the snap or pop of btvs or ats. sigh. you know with chuck, i was hooked immediately--didn't have to wait to see if it was going to be great.. it just is. same with middleman. i just loved it from the get go. i wish joss could figure out how to do that with a show so he could grab viewers more effectively.

i'll have to get that ep of cupid. i love lee too! did you ever see the film "the station agent"? that's where i first saw cannavale and was hooked by him. it's a terrific little film. amazing story and cast.

this winter i bought a deep 2-drawer chest to hold my dvds and it's already full. with stuff sitting on top. but i keep finding more shows i feel are worth owning. i just re-watched the entire deadwood series and was just as blown away and impressed as the first time i saw it.

dirty jobs? don't know it or mike rowe. damn you for putting ideas of new shows i have to watch in my head! and i'm still working my way through svu. just started 7th series today. but you know that means i haven't actually left my apartment this weekend. not good! i just keep thinking: just one more ep. just one more. and then it's like 6 hours later. sheesh.

btw, southland is excellent!
